We are all currently faced with touch economical times. This has led many of us to find ourselves out of a job. Most businesses have already come to a halt and are looking at possible ways to avoid any losses, let alone break even. The financial situation in America is reaching its climax and experts have claimed that these problems are not going to be solved any time soon. For this reason it is important that we all start making long term changes that will ensure that this problem never reoccurs in the future again. One area that people have targeted is the type of car that they drive. It has been a common trend for many to go for brand new American cars. These cars are known to be large in size and which also consume a lot of petrol. These cars have always been amongst long debates in regards to whether or not these should be allowed on the road. I mean if you think about it logically, is there any need to own a car that costs you over a $1000 on fuel alone. Such simple things have gone unnoticed until recent years. As expected, many Americans are now opting towards a cheaper alternative. One of their favourites at the moment is the used compact Cube.
The used compact Cube is a Japanese import. Japanese cars in general have always had a reputation for offering cars that are reliable and economical. The used compact Cube is no different. Now you may be wondering why one would want to go with a used compact Cube and not a brand new one. Well I’m sure many of you have realised that when one buys a brand new car, the value drops substantially in the first year. This is due to the fact that automatically the next year a new model is released. However there is a difference when one buys a Japanese car. After the first year, that car will not see a substantial drop in value for another six years. What that means is that you can own a car without having to worry to lose a lot on your initial investment. It is for this reason why many people are seen opting for a used compact Cube over a brand new one. A used compact Cube has become quite easily to come about in America. It is a favoured car amongst the consumer market as it is practical which most American cars are not. It offers a very likeable look but with economical 1 or 1.3 litre engine, you are guaranteed that you will only be spending a minimal amount on fuel.
Now if you are planning to buy a used compact Cube then there are many ways to go about it. The best place to start looking is online. There are many dealers that specifically deal in Japanese imports. Try having a look at these car dealers in particular as they should have a used compact Cube in stock. If not you can always decide to visit an auction as well. There are good chances that they may have the car you are after for auction as well. Make sure that you test drive your car no matter where you buy it from.

How a vehicle handles and the safety of its passengers should be one of the primary reasons to test drive both the Honda and Mitsubishi minivans. The Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis has five doors and can seat between five and seven passengers. It was developed from a concept car that made its debut at the 23rd Tokyo Motor Show. The Honda Odyssey is a little bigger and has many options for a family van.
Let us take a closer look at the specifications of both vehicles. The Honda Odyssey has a 3.5 liter V6 engine which allows it to have quite a bit of power. The fuel economy of the Odyssey is eighteen miles per gallon in the city and twenty five on the highway. There is an option to have a sliding side door which makes it ideal for families. The rear seats disappear into the floor so that hauling large items is very easy. Safety is part of the package, with side airbags and disc brakes. If the Odyssey is to be used as a family vehicle you may be able to find a used one with a DVD player. Leather seats can be part of an optional package. Resale value on the Honda Odyssey can vary according to mileage and age.
The Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis has been known as simply the Mitsubishi Grandis since 2003. Before its name was changed the minivan was made larger than the original concept car model. They have had five speed manual transmissions, three speed automatic and four speed automatic ones. The wheel base is longer, allowing for cargo space. The later models have the RISE safety body for greater protection of the vehicles occupants. The vehicle has a center console where everything is located. All the comfort controls plus the gearshift is nestled in one place. The cloth seats have armrests and pockets for storage for the rear passengers. Depending on the year of the vehicle and the amount of miles the Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis has they hold their value quite well.
While the two vehicles are similar in design they are definitely different under the hood and the interior. The Honda, while perhaps a bit lower in resale price has more amenities available in both new and used versions. Safety seems to have been a concern that was addressed in both vehicles such as Demio. Test drive them both so that you can see the differences first hand.

No matter what kind of car you drive, whether it is a used Mitsubishi Canter or Toyota Rav4, it is important to be safe while driving on wet, rainy or snowy roads. The weather can be very erratic and depending on where you live will determine what kind of driving techniques you will need to use. You will be amazed how easy this is to do and many people overlook the simplest things. Before the weather turns bad be it during the winter or before a storm check some of the following things on your car.
* Windshield wipers always make sure you change your wiper blades on an annual basis. Wiper blades are key to being able to see in inclement weather, and if they are not in good shape they can cause streaks or not keep the rain or snow off your windshield when you need them the most.
* Your vehicle in general always check to make sure your lights are working properly and replace any that are not. Make sure you have antifreeze and windshield washer fluid in your car and that the levels are checked before you take off for whatever trip you need to make.
* Tires keep your tires properly inflated at all times. Tires can easily wear and cause issues with your car. Without the right pressure in your tires, the tread can wear unevenly and you can easily bust a belt within the tire.
* Your gas level in cold weather you need to keep your gas tank as full as possible in order to reduce the lines from freezing and stalling out your car or causing condensation to gather up in your gas. A half a tank of gas is best.
* Emergency kit you should keep an emergency kit in your Japanese vehicle that includes blankets, first aid kits, bottled water, ice scraper, snacks, flashlights, kitty litter, and more. These are not usually things that people think of to keep in their Caldina Wagon, and in case you are ever broke down having these things could save your life.
You also need to remember to drive slowly when the weather is bad. Adjust your driving habits and make sure you leave at least two car lengths between you and every other vehicle before you. Always use your signals to change lanes and drive safely. Your life and the life of anyone in the vehicle with you is in your hands.

If you have a Starlet Toyota or a used Subaru then you know the importance of finding the right repair shop for your car. Japanese autos are becoming more and more popular with the world but it is surprising to find out that many auto shops have no idea how to work on these vehicles. If you have to find a new auto shop for your vehicle due to circumstances beyond your control with your old one, here are a few things you need to think about when looking.
1. Will the new shop give you a written estimate on how much it is going to cost to repair your car? You should always get an estimate with both your signature and the shop’s signature so that if you choose them to work on your car they will abide by the terms they put into writing.
2. Does the auto shop offer you a warranty in writing on the parts or labor? This warranty should be posted somewhere visible in the auto shop or the shops personnel should provide you with the warranty in writing.
3. Is the shop area and the customer waiting area clean and orderly? A clean and orderly shop and waiting area are signs of a business that takes their work and their customers seriously. There is nothing worse than seeing a shop that is disorganized or a waiting room that makes you wish you had gloves on before handling anything.
4. Are the employees courteous towards you? You can find out a lot about an auto shop just by picking up the phone and calling them to see how they will treat you as a customer. If they are rude to you, consider another shop. These people make their money from servicing your car. They can afford to be nice.
5. Does the auto shop have their credentials on display? Credentials show you what kind of training the mechanics have and if the shop is part of any type of recognized auto organization. These credentials are a sign of professionalism.
6. Are they willing to give you a list of customers’ testimonials or references? Any shop worth its salt will be more than happy to put you in contact with their customers, and what others have to say about the business will go a long way into helping you find a good auto shop for your used Toyota Hilux Surf or Toyota Starlet for sale.

You do not need to go to a Japanese used car exporter to find the car of your dreams for a great price. As a matter of fact, you can check out the police impound car sales in your neighborhood. Most of the Japanese cars you find at a police sale are going to be newer models and you will be able to attend the police sale auction in order to bid on the car of your choice. If you are the winning bidder you may be able to purchase a newer model year Japanese car for a fraction of the cost of a brand new one.
The Japanese car that is sold at one of these police sales are acquired by the police and other government agencies such as the Sheriff’s department, IRS, state highway patrol offices, FBI, DEA, and even the IRS. The vehicles were used in criminal acts, are cars that people could not pay for and were repossessed, or are from companies where the car was involved in some form of fraudulent act. The agency that has the car in their possession has the right to resell the car to the public after it has been in seizure status for a set amount of time.
Not only will you find Japanese cars at one of these sales, you will also find motorcycles, ATVs, trucks, boats, SUVs and other motor vehicles. If you do not know where these auctions take place, you can easily find the information on the Internet. While you like to rest assured that there is nothing wrong with the police impound car you want, it is a good idea to bring someone knowledgeable in automobiles with you. They can verify the condition of the vehicle and in some cases can go with you on a test drive.
Most of the people that attend these used car auctions will mull around the newer makes and models like Lexus. However, a vehicle that has been seized and is no more than five years old will also make a good choice. You may even save more on these Japanese cars especially if you can easily get parts for the car. If the car is too old, it may be difficult to repair if it breaks down no matter how good a deal it might be. Most police auctions are designed to get the cars off of the police lot, and this can be to your advantage as you can save up to 90% off of the current retail price.
